Despite the inclement weather on Thursday, more than 2,750 Tri-Fives registered, surpassing last year's participation. Located in the former headquarters of the Auburn Automobile Company in Auburn, Indiana, the ACD Museum is a perfectly preserved time capsule of motor cars produced in the late '20s and early '30s. In this museum, which contains the largest and most impressive display of Auburns, Cords, and Duesenbergs in the world, it isn't hard to imagine being greeted by a suave salesman, in a snappy bow tie. The Daytona Beach Turkey Run is one of the largest combination car show and swap meets in the country. This four-day event, held over the Thanksgiving weekend, brings more than 6,000 vintage, classic, muscle cars, race cars and trucks, either for show or for sale, as well as more than 2,500 vendors to the Daytona Speedway. George Poteet is not only a collector of award-winning classic cars, but he also has piloted the fastest piston driven vehicles on the Bonneville Salt Flats for the last nine years.
